How does OcluVet work?

The OcluVet formula is the result of more than 8 years of research. It is an advanced nutriceutical formulation developed to address the contributing factors of lens opacities.  It is comprised of numerous ingredients rather than taking a single ingredient approach to address the multiple deficiencies of the lens.

What changes should I expect to see during the initial 8 weeks?

Depending on the severity of your pet's condition, the changes you see may be very subtle.  During the first few weeks of application you may notice the eye to appear smoother and/or brighter although the opacity is still present.  Between 6 and 8 weeks (if not sooner) you should notice your pet navigating more accurately i.e. moving around furniture, catching treats, chasing a ball, moving around at night or in the dark, etc.  Unlike our human patients, you should not expect the eye to go from white to clear in 8 weeks.  It is interesting to note, in our clinical trial, we found reptiles responded more profoundly and sooner than birds, birds sooner than cats, and cats sooner than dogs.

The product is a different color than before.  Has the formula changed?

Because OcluVet is comprised of several natural ingredients, there may be variations in color from drop to drop or bottle to bottle depending on temperature, exposure to light, etc.  Color variations can range from a dark brownish/green to a bright yellow.  When the drop comes in contact with the warm temperature of the eye, it will turn to a bright yellow.  Yellow staining around the eye can be removed using a damp cloth.  A mild detergent such as a baby shampoo can be used on the fur surrounding the eye if necessary.

There appears to be particles in the tip of the bottle.  What should I do?

OcluVet contains a high content of antioxidants and nutrients.  It is very important that you thoroughly shake the bottle prior to applying the drops.  The precipitant in the product is water soluble and will readily be absorbed by the eye.

Where can I purchase OcluVet?

OcluVet is only available from your veterinarian.  It is important that your pet be examined by your veterinarian prior to the use of OcluVet to determine if it will benefit your pet's condition.  Although the ingredients in OcluVet are beneficial supplements for all eyes, we do not want you to invest your time or money if it will not provide the results you are looking for.

Why is OcluVet priced higher than other products I've seen on the internet?

OcluVet doesn't just contain one or two ingredients.  There are six primary ingredients targeting glycation, cross-linking and other reactions that result in lens opacities.  Several of the ingredients are not readily available "off the shelf" and are produced for our specific formula.  If price is your primary concern, try the others.  If results are what your looking for, try OcluVet.
